How to Configure Taxonomy Meta Settings

The Taxonomies tab lets you configure metadata and robots behavior for taxonomy archive pages.

Open Taxonomies

Go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Meta Manager → Taxonomies

The exact taxonomies depend on your website.

Select a Taxonomy

Choose the taxonomy you want to configure.

For example:

Categories

The selected taxonomy contains:

• Title & Description
• Advanced Robots Meta

Configure the Taxonomy Meta Title

Open Title & Description.

Find Meta Title for Category.

Available dynamic tags include:

• Category Title
• Site Title
• Separator
• View all tags

A template can use:

%term% %sep% %site_title%

Configure the Meta Description

Find Meta Description for Category.

Available tags include:

• Category Title
• Category Description
• Site Title
• View all tags

A default template can use:

%term_description%

Configure Taxonomy Robots Settings

Open Advanced Robots Meta.

With Sync Advanced Settings enabled, the taxonomy follows the robots configuration from Advance Settings.

Configure Custom Taxonomy Robots Settings

Disable synchronization when this taxonomy needs different robots behavior.

The current taxonomy interface shows:

• No Index
• No Follow
• No Archive
• No Snippet
• No Image Index
• Max Snippet Length
• Max Video Preview
• Max Image Preview

Important: These controls apply to the selected taxonomy archive. They are not the same as changing robots settings for individual posts.

Click SAVE CHANGES.
