How to Configure Global Meta Settings

The Global Meta tab contains site-wide metadata controls for your WordPress website.

It includes:

• Title Separator
• Home Page
• Knowledge Graph

Open Global Meta

Go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Meta Manager → Global Meta

You will see the Title Separator, Home Page, and Knowledge Graph sections.

Configure the Title Separator

Expand Title Separator.

The separator is used between different parts of dynamic SEO title templates.

For example:

Post Title + Separator + Site Title

Choose the separator you want to use throughout supported Meta Manager title templates.

When the Separator dynamic tag is used elsewhere in Meta Manager, SEO Repair Kit uses the separator selected here.

Configure Home Page Metadata

Expand Home Page.

The Home Page section lets you configure the default SEO title and meta description for your homepage.

Understand the SERP Preview

The preview gives you a search-result-style representation of your homepage metadata.

It can display:

• URL
• SEO title
• Meta description

Use it to review your configuration while editing.

Note: Search engines may choose to display different title or description text in actual search results.

Configure the Site Title

Find Site Title.

You can build the homepage title using available dynamic tags.

The current interface provides quick tags including:

• Site Title
• Tagline
• Separator
• View all tags →

For example:

%site_title% %sep% %tagline%

SEO Repair Kit replaces the dynamic variables with the corresponding website information when generating metadata.

Review the Title Length

Meta Manager provides character feedback below the title field.

The interface recommends a title of up to 60 characters.

Use the character indicator as guidance rather than adding or removing useful information solely to reach an exact number.

Configure the Meta Description

Find Meta Description.

You can enter a description or use supported dynamic tags such as:

• Site Title
• Tagline
• Separator
• Other variables available through View all tags

The current interface recommends a meta description of up to 160 characters.

Write a concise description that accurately represents the website.

What Are Dynamic Tags?

Dynamic tags are reusable placeholders.

For example:

%site_title%

uses the current website title, while:

%sep%

uses the Title Separator selected in Global Meta.

They allow you to create reusable metadata patterns without manually entering the same values repeatedly.

Knowledge Graph

Expand Knowledge Graph.

This area is designed to provide entity-related structured information about the person or organization behind the website.

In the shared interface, advanced Knowledge Graph and Author schema functionality is presented through Schema Manager Pro.

Use Unlock Schema Manager (Pro) where that functionality is available for the current plan.

Note: Structured data can provide search engines with additional context but does not guarantee a Knowledge Panel or specific search-result feature.

Save Your Settings

After making changes, click:

SAVE CHANGES

Use Reset to Defaults only when you intentionally want to return the settings on this screen to their default configuration.
