Configure Internal Linking Settings

Internal Linking settings control which content SEO Repair Kit processes and how links, keywords, suggestions, and anchors are handled.

Go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Internal Linking → Settings → General Settings

General Settings

Enable Internal Linking

Globally enables or disables the Internal Linking module.

Enable Auto Linking

Enables the automatic linking workflow.

Skip Existing Links

Prevents existing linked text from being processed as a new linking location.

Skip Headings (H1–H6)

Excludes headings from applicable Internal Linking processing.

Skip HTML Blocks

Excludes applicable HTML blocks.

Batch Size

Controls the number of items handled in a processing batch.

Stop / Ignore Words

Content Language

Choose the language associated with the stop-word configuration.

Stop / Ignore Words

Enter words or phrases that should be ignored, one per line.

Saved changes apply to the currently selected language.

Content Scope

Post Types Whitelist

Choose which registered post types should be processed.

Taxonomies Whitelist

Choose which taxonomies should be included in the Internal Linking workflow.

Process Post Statuses

Available options include:

• Publish
• Draft
• Pending

Choose the statuses you want Internal Linking to process.

Link Controls & Timeline

Max Outbound Links / Post

Sets the maximum outbound-link limit per post.

Max Inbound Links / Post

Sets the maximum inbound-link limit per post.

The fields can remain empty where no applicable limit is required.

Suggestions Limit

Controls the number of suggestions returned.

The current interface provides a range of 1–50 suggestions.

Posts Older Than

Provides a date-based content restriction.

Posts Published After

Provides a publication-date boundary.

Matching Rules

Same Category Only

Restricts matching according to the same-category rule.

Link to Orphaned Only

Restricts matching toward orphaned content.

Ignore Numbers

Excludes numbers from applicable keyword matching.

Target Keyword Sources

Select which sources Internal Linking can use:

Post Title

Prioritizes anchors based on the post title.

URL Slug

Extracts keyword information from permalinks.

Taxonomies

Uses selected taxonomy information such as categories and tags.

Custom Keywords

Uses manually configured target keywords.

Content Processing

Configure:

Skip N Sentences

Controls how many sentences should be skipped during applicable processing.

Skip N Paragraphs

Controls how many paragraphs should be skipped.

Min Anchor Words

Sets the minimum number of words for an anchor.

Max Anchor Words

Sets the maximum number of words for an anchor.

Max Keywords / Post

Controls the maximum number of keywords processed for a post.

Save Your Settings

After changing the configuration, click:

Save Changes

Use Reset only when you intentionally want to reset the settings.
