Redirection Overview

SEO Repair Kit’s Redirection feature lets you create and manage URL redirects from one place.

It helps you redirect old or broken URLs to relevant destinations, review redirect activity, track redirect hits, import or export redirect rules, and configure logging and server-related redirect settings.

How to Access Redirection

From your WordPress dashboard, go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Redirection

The Advanced Redirections screen opens.

Understanding the Redirection Dashboard

The Redirection feature contains four main tabs:

• Redirections
• Redirect Logs
• Import/Export
• Settings

Each tab handles a different part of the redirect workflow.

Redirections

The Redirections tab is the main area for creating and managing redirects.

It contains:

• Redirect Analytics
• Add New Redirection
• Existing Redirections

From here, you can create redirects, review their status and hit counts, edit existing rules, delete redirects, and reset hit counts.

Redirect Analytics

At the top of the Redirections tab, Redirect Analytics provides a quick overview of redirect activity.

Total Hits

Shows the total number of recorded redirect hits.

Total Redirections

Shows the total number of redirects currently recorded.

Active Redirections

Shows how many redirects are currently active.

Most Hit Redirect

Shows the redirect receiving the highest number of recorded hits.

Use Refresh to reload the current analytics information.

Redirect Logs

Redirect Logs provides a history of redirect activity.

The log can include information such as:

• Date
• Action
• Source URL
• Target URL
• IP Address
• User Agent
• Referrer

This helps you review both redirect activity and recorded administrative actions.

Import/Export

The Import/Export tab lets you move redirect data into or out of SEO Repair Kit.

Redirections can be exported in supported formats including:

• CSV
• JSON
• Nginx
• Apache .htaccess

The import area supports the file formats displayed in the interface and provides an option for handling matching existing redirects.

Settings

The Settings tab controls how Redirection handles logging and .htaccess integration.

The current interface includes:

• Detailed Logging

Where Should I Start?

If you are using Redirection for the first time, start by creating a simple redirect from an old URL to its correct new destination.

After creating it, test the old URL and then review its hit information.
