Schema Manager Overview

SEO Repair Kit’s Schema Manager lets you add and manage structured data for your WordPress content using JSON-LD. You can enable the schema types you need, assign them to the appropriate content, map schema fields to WordPress data, preview the generated JSON-LD, and validate the schema before using it.

1. Access Schema Manager

From your WordPress dashboard, go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Schema Manager

The Schema Manager opens with the available schema types and their configuration options.

2. Understand the Schema Manager

The Schema Manager is divided into three main areas.

Schema Types

The Schema Types section contains the structured data types available for configuration.

The interface currently includes:

• Article
• Blog Posting
• News Article
• FAQ
• How To
• Video Object
• Product
• Job Posting
• Event
• Course
• Review
• Recipe
• Local Business
• Organization
• Corporation
• Reservation
• Medical Condition
• Medical Web Page
• Website
• Author

Select a schema type to open its configuration.

Configuration

After selecting a schema type, its configuration panel appears below the list.

Depending on the selected schema, you can:

• assign it to a post type;
• select a specific post or page where supported;
• map schema properties to WordPress data;
• enter schema-specific information.

JSON-LD Preview — Save & Validate

The panel on the right displays the generated JSON-LD for the selected schema.

It also provides:

• Save Schema
• Validate Schema
• Test with Google

3. Enable a Schema Type

To configure a schema:

1. Go to SEO Repair Kit → Schema Manager.
2. Find the required schema under Schema Types.
3. Select its checkbox.
4. The corresponding configuration panel will appear.
5. Complete the availa ble configuration.
6. Review the JSON-LD Preview.
7. Click Save Schema.

Once a configured schema is active, its entry can display management controls for editing or removing that configuration.

4. Assign Schema to a Post Type

Content-based schemas include an Assign to Post Type option.

For example, Article can be assigned to Posts.

To assign a schema:

1. Select the schema type.
2. Open Assign to Post Type.
3. Select the appropriate WordPress post type.
4. Configure the field mappings below.
5. Save the schema.

The post types available here depend on the content types registered on your WordPress website.

5. Map Schema Fields

For schemas that use WordPress content, Schema Manager provides a Field Mappings section.

A mapping tells Schema Manager where it should get the value for a particular schema property.

For each field, you can select a source and then choose or provide the corresponding value.

The source options shown in Schema Manager include:

• Post Default
• Post Meta
• User Meta
• Taxonomy

For example, Article mappings can use:

• Name → Post Title
• Description → Post Excerpt
• Logo → Site Logo
• Headline → Post Title
• Publisher → Site Information
• Author → Post Author
• Date Published → Post Date
• Article Body → Post Content

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required by that configuration.

You can also use the checkbox beside a field to control whether that field is included.
