Configure Article, BlogPosting, and NewsArticle Schema

Schema Manager provides three closely related article schema types:

• Article
• Blog Posting
• News Article

Article Schema

Select Article when you want to configure Article structured data.

The interface recommends assigning Article to posts containing article content.

Configure Article

1. Select Article.
2. Choose a post type under Assign to Post Type.
3. Configure the available Field Mappings.
4. Review the JSON-LD Preview.
5. Click Save Schema.

Available mappings shown in the interface include:

• Name
• Description
• Logo
• Headline
• Publisher
• Author
• Date Published
• Date Modified
• Article Body

BlogPosting Schema

Select Blog Posting for blog-post content.

The configuration follows the same mapping approach as Article.

Important

Schema Manager displays a warning when BlogPosting and Article are assigned to the same post type.

The interface recommends using only one article-type schema per page and choosing the most specific applicable type.

NewsArticle Schema

Select News Article for news-post content.

Configure its post type and mappings in the same way.

Schema Manager also displays a warning when NewsArticle is assigned to the same post type as another article-type schema.
