How to Configure Spam Monitor Alerts

Spam Monitor can send email alerts when Google-indexed results meet selected risk conditions.

In this guide

  • Enable email alerts
  • Set alert history size
  • Choose the alert email
  • Choose risk levels
  • Enable scan summaries
  • Review detection thresholds
  • Send a test email
  • Review Alert Volume
  • Manage Alert History

Open Alerts

Go to:

SEO Repair Kit → Spam Monitor → Alerts

Enable Email Alerts

Turn on:

Enable Email Alerts

This is the master switch for Spam Monitor alert emails.

If this option is disabled, the selected alert risk levels will not independently enable email delivery.

Set Maximum Alert History Records

Use:

Maximum Alert History Records

to control how many alert-history records are retained in this interface.

The screenshot currently shows:

100

Treat this as the current configured value, not a required value for every website.

Set the Alert Email Address

Enter the email address that should receive Spam Monitor alerts in:

Alert Email Address

Use an email address that is actively monitored by the person responsible for website or SEO issues.

Choose Alert Risk Levels

Under:

Alert on Risk Levels

you can choose:

  • Clean
  • Suspicious
  • Spam
  • Critical

The current interface recommends enabling:

  • Suspicious
  • Spam
  • Critical

and keeping Clean disabled to reduce unnecessary notifications.

This is the recommendation displayed by the product interface; adjust the selection according to your monitoring needs.

Send Scan Summary Email

Enable:

Send Scan Summary Email

if you want a digest after each completed scan.

This is useful when you want scan completion information in addition to risk-triggered alerts.

Review Current Detection Thresholds

The Alerts screen also displays the current risk thresholds:

  • Clean
  • Suspicious
  • Spam
  • Critical

These reflect the risk classification configured through Spam Rules.

For changing thresholds, use:

Spam Monitor → Spam Rules

Save Alert Settings

After making changes, click:

Save Alert Settings

Send a Test Email

Click:

Send Test Email

to test the configured alert email workflow.

This is useful after changing the alert email address or setting up alerts for the first time.

Review Alert Volume

The Alert Volume panel provides a summary of alerts by risk level for the last 30 days.

It separates alert activity into:

  • Clean
  • Suspicious
  • Spam
  • Critical

Review Alert History

The Alert History table shows recent alert deliveries.

Columns include:

Date

When the alert was recorded.

Domain

The domain associated with the alert.

Type

The alert type, such as a scan summary or detected spam event.

Risk

The associated risk classification.

Score

The risk score associated with the alert.

URLs

The number of relevant URLs recorded for the alert.

Status

Shows the delivery status.

Filter Alert History

The current screen provides filters for:

  • Risk
  • Domain
  • Status

Use these controls when reviewing a larger alert history.

Export Alert History

Click:

Export CSV

to export alert history.

Clear Alert History

Use:

Clear History

when you intentionally want to remove the stored alert history.

Export any required records first.
